An education nonprofit that empowers public school teachers across the United States to request resources that transform their classrooms. Through our collaboration with DonorsChoose, Dial® has introduced the Clean Sheet Program. Following an initial $50,000 donation to classroom projects on DonorsChoose, Dial® will donate an additional $5,000 for every clean sheet in a U.S Senior National Team soccer match, for a total contribution of $100,000 to public school classrooms over the next year. With this we aim to turn defensive victories in U.S. soccer matches into direct investments in classrooms nationwide and support youth sports.
In the world of soccer, a “clean sheet” refers to a match in which the opposing team does not score. It symbolizes precision, teamwork, and achievement under pressure. Dial® has adopted this concept and reimagined it as a way to support schools in need by helping to fund projects posted by teachers on the DonorsChoose platform.
The Clean Sheet Program is built on a performance-based donation model:
- Dial® has pledged an initial contribution of $50,000 to DonorsChoose.
- For every clean sheet recorded by the U.S. Men’s or Women’s Senior National Teams, Dial® will donate an additional $5,000.
- The program is projected to result in a total donation of $100,000 to support classroom projects throughout the year.
These donations are used to fulfill public school teachers’ resource requests like sports and exercise equipment, food and books. This ensures that students, especially in underfunded communities, have access to the materials they need and lend a helping hand to teachers.

DonorsChoose has a 25-year track record of accountability and transparency in supporting public education. Teachers submit detailed proposals for the resources they need, whether that be calculators for a high school algebra class, storybooks for a second grade reading corner, or soap and sanitizers for a kindergarten wellness station. DonorsChoose vets every project a teacher submits. Once the project is funded, DonorsChoose purchases and ships the requested items directly to the school, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Contributors, including corporate partners like Dial®, receive real-time updates, thank-you notes, and photos showing the funded resources in use. This level of transparency ensures that every clean sheet on the soccer field becomes a visible, measurable benefit in the classroom.
